cavobEM
A little bit of our history.
CAVOBEM - Volunteers for Good is a volunteer organization founded in March 1961 in response to the needs of underprivileged children in Porciúncula, a city in the interior of Rio de Janeiro state. Originating from the first Spiritist Week in Northern Rio de Janeiro, our mission began with the production of layettes for newborns, leading to the delivery of 419 layettes in our first year. As we identified ongoing needs for clothing and food, we expanded our efforts to include the distribution of milk, soup, medicine, and clothing, ensuring support for as many children as possible. With this in mind, CAVOBEM seeks to promote the integration of the population, uniting efforts to build a more supportive and inclusive community.

Our Mission
The Volunteers for Good Campaign (CAVOBEM) has the mission of supporting people in situations of social vulnerability, especially children and newborns, promoting solidarity, dignity and inclusion.
Since 1961, the institution has been distributing layettes, food, clothing, and medicine, providing essential support to the most needy families. In addition to material assistance, CAVOBEM develops educational, cultural, and therapeutic projects, such as the Mothers' Club, a support group for those with substance abuse problems, and sports and integration activities for children and adolescents.
Committed to collective well-being and sustainability, CAVOBEM also carries out actions such as the production of ecological soap, promoting environmental awareness and the reuse of resources.
Our purpose is to serve the community with love, respect, and commitment, strengthening bonds of solidarity and transforming lives through volunteering.
